I'm just a man doing his best to not step in dog poop when he goes outside. Occasionally other people's thoughts ricochet off my skull and my brain convinces me they're my own.
A Unique Hero's Journey
Initially written for his nephew, Chris wanted Bennett to realize that he could be the hero in his own story, and that in order to be the hero, he had to solve problems with empathy, lean on curiosity as his main tool, and even though the fantasy world he got sucked into would be violent at times, violence wouldn't be a path he chose.
Chris thinks it's extremely important to show young boys examples of how they can solve big problems by talking with other people and better understanding them, and to do so in a thoughtful, honest way. He also thinks it’s important to include enough butt/fart/pee jokes to hold their attention along the way, and to throw in a goofy dwarf, a unicorn, and an evil wizard for good measure.

Journey to the Ironclad Kingdom
Bennett is a curious child, but his normal, everyday life is upended when his curiosity leads to a dwarf showing up at his house and enlisting him to save the queen of the Ironclad Kingdom from the grips of a Dark Wizard.
Along the way, he learns the power of truth, the importance of asking questions, and the age old lesson that all curious people learn at one point or another: when you return from an adventure, you’re never quite the same person as you had been when you left.
